Hotel, eateries and restaurant and hospitality is a very delicate industry. Quality, service and commitment matter a lot for this industry.
We pay money to get the best as we deserve the best.
We were searching for a new experience for one of our colleague's farewell and zeroed on Levo on 29th November. We fixed the date, menu, price and we went.
We had clearly mentioned our requirements, time was given in advance. We had interacted with Sreekumar Pillai, one of the worst manager I have ever seen. The issues were unlimited and a memorable to be moment turned as a horrible experience.
The issues were:
1. There was no preparation despite the table was booked in advance
2. Staff had no idea about our visiting the venue
3. No starters were given even after reaching the venue 1 hour.
4. Mosquitoes were flying and despite of our several request, the staff did not bother to even kill the mosquitoes (The venue was indoor)
5. Guests were waiting for food and it was not served.
6. The food was horrible.
I doubt this restaurant can run for a long term anyway. It can make fools to first time patrons, but with the kind of horrible un-hospitality, it may shut down soon.
This was the worst experience we ever had at any restaurant in Mumbai. Below is the transcript of the mail sent to sreekumar.35@rediffmail.com and rm@iamlevo.com and the restaurant never responded.

1. When we reached at 7, nothing was ready at that moment. Mosquitoes were flying around and at least 10 times we had to ask them for do something for mosquito. We even showed the mosquito bats but instead of killing the mosquitoes, your staff disappeared with the mosquito bat. They were flying till we left the place.
2. When we asked to serve starter at around 7.40 pm, we were informed that it was not ready. We have been told that you (Sreekumar Pillai, Manager) did not inform them. About our reservation as 7 pm and you told them that we are arriving at 9 pm. When we ordered starter from the menu, that was part of the package sent to us, The Levo staff told that the specific starter is not available in the package and when we showed them the email, they said they do not have material. The starter was served at around 8.30 PM
3. The overall services was extremely poor. When we asked for mocktail and juices, we have been informed that it is not available and only blue lagoon mocktail and soft drinks are available. I never saw such a poor hospitality anywhere.
4. I repeatedly reminded you (Sreekumar Pillai) about bad feedback about your restaurants on Zomato and you blamed customer coming without intimation and customer asking not to serve starters. In our case everything was informed in advance but very poor service we got. Our director wanted rotis to be served but it was not ready. Other employee needed Dal it was served late. For our shocking, salad was delivered at the end just before the desert. Who is stupid to eat Salad after dinner?
5. All these shocks were not enough and finally I got another shock from your end- swipe machines not working and after lot of argument your people forced me to withdraw money from my ATM and pay 28100. How can you expect in Mumbai to carry such a large sum of cash? And you over the phone insist to pay in cash so I can save taxes? Why should I? How can a professional organisation encourage people to evade tax?
Your people told me that they will come to my office on Monday with the swipe machine and swipe my card and refund cash taken from me. You must do it in any condition.
The overall experience was worst and I doubt about success of Levo.

To my horror, they forced me to withdraw money from ATM and pay it. They never turned up. Later, the said manager, Sreekumar Pillai called and informed that bank has frozen their account so they cannot refund my money.
Now, can you imagine about a hotel who cannot serve only guest present in their hotel, whose credit card swipe machine does not work, where mosquitoes were more than the guest present. Can you imagine, the food was horrible and never presented on time.
Never ever plan to visit this place for any of your need.
