India's daughter BBC documentary review and why mob jusitce like Nagaland happens in India

This documentary was available on YouTube when I could watch it. Although it is removed now from YouTube, it is available on Vimeo now. Before making any comment on this, I wanted to watch it fully without any prejudices. In fact, before watching it, I was positive about this documentary. I was against of banning this video and still I do not think, this really need to ban. However, this is not the fact what India feel, what India think. More Indian hold positive view about women than those portraying negative picture on this video.

You may watch following video:

So, as Google has blocked the video, you may click above and watch on Vimeo.

UK newspapers were looking like supporting BBC and showing India in a poor light. It looks the video was made to make it commercially viable and sensation. Yes, I agree, major discrimination exist for women in India. This video's title should have been "What is in the mind of a rapist?" That title would have made better sense.

I watched a whole video and it seems, this video was made to make it commercially viable. Does it really represent view of all Indian? Even, the interview of "Mentor" of Jyoti Singh was looking too much scripted. She was a paramedical student and not a medical student. It looked that was put purposely to show that it happens even with a well educated person. Yes, the lawyer, Mukesh Singh were the worst, there was no remorse, but we cannot ignore the fact that the brutality of recent rape and murder in Haryana was similar or worse than this, but it did not get enough coverage. Do media decide what is more important? As far as BBC concern, why it did not disclose with the very fact that how many MPs, MLAs have charge or rape, molestation and exploitation? Bar Council- bull shit! one of the most unethical profession in world, particularly in our country is of Lawyers and Doctors. What has Bar Council really done to improve ethical standard of this profession? Previous chief justice Anand, forged his date of birth to get more tenure in Supreme court, one of the lawyer found buying witnesses in Nanda car accident case, what happened? He was banned for just 1 year. We are wasting our time rather than thinking logically and doing concrete. Only people who were really concerned with such incidents were those brutally got beaten during protest, who left their work and instead of just wasting time on social media, were on field.

I feel we need to be awakened and sensible with our comment. 5 people on TV screen do not decide and define human value and it does not represent India. Rather, the video should have been titled "In the mind of rape accused.

Those who do not know culture of India and practices of empowering women in our culture first read this. Women are worshiped as a deity and as a Goddess. In ancient time, they had right to chose with whom they want to marry. They used to get right to chose their future partner, they used to get training. but with time things changed. Women became matter of prestige, not only in India, but in all over the world.

I refused to interpret the documentary as most Indian men think from the rapist's eye or his lawyer's eye. My mother extensively travels the country. From Gujarat to Rajasthan, UP to Bihar, Uttarakhand to Himachal, Andhra Pradesh to Karnataka thats too alone and for years involving night long journeys. So my sisters and we never felt we are so insecure. In fact, they have got help multiple times. Labeling India as a 4th most insecure seems to be insanity. Then where does Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Columbia, Kenya, Mexico where do they lie? I do not deny discrimination, female infanticide in India, but I refused to accept, most Indian men think as those rapists. People might have issue with the women dress, but thats are limited to refuse to accept in most of the cases and most of people do not thinks to teach them a lesson.

About Nagaland's case where a man, accused of rapist was lynched, pulled out of the jail and burnt alive

The guy who was killed was a muslim. There was an allegation that he was a Bangladeshi, but his brother came forward and informed that he is an Indian, his family worked in Indian Army and the case is all different. It seems two things triggered the issue
1. Lack of seriousness from the law enforcement agency and people loosing trust in police and administration.
2. Issue of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh, politician supporting them for the vote bank and local people losing their employment

Police are best goons and criminals in India. Most of them, more than 95% are never committed to prevent crime and maintain law and order. They are more here to exploit people.
Yesterday, I had been to local vegetable market and saw a crowd. I came to know that somebody was stealing a bike and people caught him red handed. after sometime, they let him go off. I was wondering whether this guy will meet the same fate of the Nagaland rape accused, luckily it did not happen. When I asked one of they boy why did not he call the police. His response was "Those bastards will take Rs. 5000 from him and let him go. Handling over to police means let them give an opportunity to earn". That was true. This is our police's face. When people realise that the police and judiciary is not going to do their work, they will take law in their hand and such killings will happen. Coincidentally, a TV channel was running movie Gangajal This is one of the masterpiece from Prakash Jha and shows how crowd becomes out of control when they see goons are ruling and they are not doing the justice.
Our north east's people are suffering from such police apathy and exploitation. Police, Army and Terrorists are exploiting, raping and killing them. How naxalite born? It is not by choice. Police raping their women, putting them in the lock for no crime and asking for ransom. They are worse than the goon. From Mumbai Police Commissioner to every every major city, they pay crores to Government for postings then how can you expect the police to work honestly? It is exactly like encounter specialist in Mumbai. They are appointed by one gang to kill another gang members. Whatever case we hear of police raids and arrests, they are mere cases of failed negotiation of the bribe. Even if you are a killer, unless media creates hype, you can get scot free by paying judiciary and the police. Judiciary delay hearings and police use this time to destroy evidence.

Thats all I want to say.
