Who should have first right on natural resources? Are we serious about environment

It was a almost a year and half back when I got opportunity to attend NATCON which is again a great national cause without much media hype with the intention to bring reform law in India so common man should get true justice and there should not be justice delayed, justice denied.

There, I got opportunity to hear Dr. Banwarilal Sharma, such a nice personality, such a humble person. He has been fighting since long against corruption and maladministration. He rightly said that on the natural resources, the local people should have first right.

You can listen and watch him at:

and part two of the video at

and remaining part of the video at:

Then again last month I got an opportunity to meet personally and listen to Brikesh Singh from Greenpeace and I got a similar personality, similar feeling when I spoke to him. This is unfortunate that a "gaali" video on youtube gets 34+ lakhs hits but a video which should be of our most concern, our environment gets hardly 800+ hits.
We are bothered about quality of water we are drinking , the quality of air we are inhaling. and to escape those whoever earning more than 20,000 per month in metros do not wish to settle down less than a Rs. 15 per litre for "safe" drinking water. Then why are we not consciousness enough to protect our environment? Why are we not united against fighting with those people who are saying "there is no alternative"

Are you sure, there is no alternative to coal and nuclear for energy production?
There is alternative. There is always alternative.

See this video

It tells how this coal mining is destroying our environment. Are we bothered as a human as a citizen about suffering of the locals? No, we are so selfish that we even do not wish to watch above video which is not doctored and an eye opener.

Following video explains that how a 8 year old thermal plant is destroying thousand year old forest which is providing people food, shelter, and support even after death. In cities, imagine if you are poor and you die, you cannot do cremation for yourself.

Singrauli, which is known as energy capital of India, which produce electricity for us, does not have electricity for self. (Remember my line above, natives should have first rights on natural resources). This is unfortunate.

Brikesh and Greenpeace India is trying to open our eyes and I think we all must do a little- not only for others, for self (As we are selfish)- for cleaner, greener, healthier and better today and tomorrow.

  1. Govind,

I'd done Diploma in Mechatronics and I'm having 6+ years experience. Now I'm working in a U.S based MNC as a Team Leader.

I'm looking forward to do PGDM as some of the universities are offering.

I got struck with IIBMS and MITSDE. So I started doing thorough check of these institutes in different websites like AICTE, UGC and DEC. I was going through DEC approved list of institutes and their courses. There I found MIT school distance education along with the approved courses (http://www.dec.ac.in/Documents/currentstatus.pdf, http://www.dec.ac.in/Documents/status.pdf). While doing this research, I found your article that suggests not do pursue any degree from MITSDE .

Please guide me on doing PGDM/MBA from any institute that is recognized. I'm desperate to do these courses as I'm missing many opportunities cause I'm holding only Diploma qualification now. Also consider that I'm working in Hyderabad. I did not find any institute/university in Hyderabad providing PGDM/MBA for Diploma qualification with experience. So I wanted to do these courses in Distance mode.

Please reply me as soon as possible with clear idea for the candidates like me.

    Looking forward for your reply.
    Thanks in Advance

    Regards,
    Ramarao

    1. Hi,You posted the query in wrong article. Both are bad, you should not opt. You cannot pursue MBA on the basis of your Diploma, first you need to complete your graduation.
