Deepawali wishes and greetings to all

Dear all,
Wish you all a very lightful, prosperous Deepawali. I would like to wish from following chants from vedas.

इस दीपावली पर
इतने दीपक जलाएं
कि अँधेरा डरकर भाग जाए
इतना प्यार लुटाएं
कि दुनिया से नफ़रत मिट जाये
इतनी मिठाइयाँ बाँटें
कि भारत से भूख मिट जाये
इतनी गर्मजोशी से हाथ मिलाएं
कि सारी दुश्मनी मिट जाए।

अपने मन्दिर के साथ-साथ
एक मस्जिद, एक गुरुद्वारे, एक गिरजे में भी दीपक लगाएं
ताकि भारत से धार्मिक उन्माद हट जाए।

कश्मीर से कन्याकुमारी तक
हमारा भारत अनगिनत दीपों की आवली से सज जाए।

हम सभी भारतवासी
प्रेम की अमिट डोर से बन्ध जाएं
और दीपावली का यह पर्व
सचमुच सार्थक हो जाए।

On this Dīpāvalī,
Light so many lamps,
That darkness vanishes.
Spread so much love,
That hatred disappears from this world.
Share so many sweets
That hunger goes away.
Shake hands with such warmth,
That enmity disappears.

Along with your temple
Light a lamp in a mosque, in a gurudvārā and in a church
So that India is freed from the insanity of religious intolerance.

Let all of India be illuminated
By a row of innumerable lamps
Stretching from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

May we Indians
Be linked with the unbreakable bond of love
Bringing true meaning to this festival of lights.
