I am Malala- a must read for those wants to know Malala and Pakistan

Hello everyone,
Since Malala got shot by Taliban, she became a kind of celebrity and she got her name as well as fame. The whole world became familiar with her and she symbolised freedom of expression, a dedication, a suppressed voice and a rebel.

I was aware about her whatever media showed and told and I was eager to know more. I browsed through Amazon.in (and in many cases books are cheaper here) and purchased the book "I am Malala".

The book starts with Malala's introduction to her root and her ancestor describing how their family moved to Mingora Town of Swat Valley in north east frontier of Pakistan. The book describes how she was named Malala a famous and brave tribal leader how her grandfather had less affection for her father and also to her. The book describes political scenarios in Pakistan and how Taliban created a pseudo government in Swat Valley. It describes how Taliban conquer first people's mind and then control people's life. It also describes the weak Pakistani "Democratic" government and expose how Pakistani government allowed Taliban to grow within Pakistan and without government support it would not have been possible.

Anybody who wants to understand Pakistan, Pakistani government's pathetic condition, its carelessness about people, its greed for money and irresponsible attitude's result into people's life must read this book.
Jinnah wanted Pakistan as a separate nation for the reason best known to him. May be its for his political ambition that people should know him (if undivided India would have been there, he could not be a PM and people would have remembered Gandhi only) or he was really worried about Muslim's interest. Whatever it is, I do not think he has ever imagined of a fundamentalist Pakistan where Muslims are killing Muslims and everyday you hear a blast in mosque killing Shias. If Muslims in India have complain with India they should read this book and must understand that they have much liberty and freedom here. Anti nationals like Abu Asim Azmi and Owaisi can only dare to speak against India and still can breathe ease. If they would have been in Pakistan and if they would have spoken against Pakistani government, Taliban or Army, they would have been instantly killed or hanged.

I found I am Malala and Rock and Roll Jihad by Salman Ahmad (founder of Pakistani band Junoon, I am a big admirer of him and the band) has many similarities. They both have described the wrong side of Pakistan I.e, Taliban, pro Taliban government, power hungry army and the damage they have done to the nation including snatching away people's fundamental rights, trying to dominate, corruption in politics and drain of national wealth. Now, my belief is firm that Pakistan has got nothing by separating from India. If Pakistan would have been part of India, it would have been much progressive, secular and a culturally rich state.

This book is about passion. Passion of a father who wants to educate his daughter, passion of a person who wants to open a school to educate children and girl to make their future bright who fought against all odds, a brave person who did not give up to Taliban. He represents a fraction of other Muslims who have understood Islam correctly, who is educated, who is liberal and who has proud of what he is. We cannot imagine Malala without him, without his sacrifice without the price he paid.

This book is about the rich culture Bharat Varsh has. The value we enrich, the family value we have. I see who India (Bharat), Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as a Bharat Varsh, the Bharat  of centuries, the Bharat which has common culture, common values, common family system and we have many similarities. The book describes the family value, family system and the emotional bonding families have in this region.

Journey of Malala: This book is a kind of biography and life of Malala through words and pictures. It tells story of a poor family who struggled a lot to improve their life, the struggle they make. Its about Malala, her birth, how her education happened and all the people who were unknown to her still helped her right from the beginning of her education, building his fathers schools and finally helping her to recover and getting second life after Taliban shot her.

Who should read this book: Every person who is passionate about something and to do something different in life for self and for the society should read this book. Every Muslim should read this book. Those who are fundamentalist who have misunderstood the Islam should read this book. Every Indian Muslims who enjoy much more freedom and sometime more than the majority of the Hindus and who believe Pakistan is better and should have been their mother land should read this book it is enough to open their eyes.

Rating : for story narration 8/10, for simple language 9/20, for book style and design 6/10.
