This is a serious issue and I am fighting against it for almost 3 years-with very little success.

However, I have not given up about it. I have seen how everybody in the society including so called 4th pillar of democracy i.e. press or journalist are worse corrupt than the police department, they are the goondas. In Bhiwandi, you will find a reporter/ journalist of evert news channel but after taking bribe they never published the conditions of the city. In fact they praised the municipal commissioner who is most corrupt and product of a reservation system.

I have seen people protesting against high tariff of torrent power and a reporter from times of India reporting it with a pitcure but while shooting that pic, it seems the reporter forgot to report the most corrupt administration.

I even knocked the door of the CM, Maharashtra, Urban Development Ministry, Maharashtra and sent mail to them but now almost even after a year the condition is worse than earlier but no action.

I have again started this petition and this time, I am not giving up. I request reader of my blog to read it, go through the link, sign it and if possible please send email to CM and Governor at:

Dear Sir,

Bhiwandi is a satellite town in Mumbai approximate 15 KMs from Thane and approx 50 KMS from Mantralaya and it is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

It is a municipal corporation and has mixed population of around 12 lakhs and compromise of the mostly migrant people from different part of the country. It is a multi linguistic and multi communal habitated city.

However, the condition of the city is pathetic. Almost 60% area of the city is covered by slum and now it is slowly witnessing development.

The problems are:

The city has corruption at rampant. The roads of the city is not repaired for more than 3 years. The conditions of the road is so bad that, forget about vehcile even a person cannot walk on it. It has lot of pothole, bad enough to loose balance of a vehicle.
The city is full of garbage. Anywhere you walk on the road, you will find the garbage. The local chicken and mutton shop also throw the flesh etc on road. When you walk you will vomit seeing and smelling it.
The flovoer is also in very bad condition. It is not repaired for years. It has whole big enough to suck a small car.
There are lot of illegal construction happening in the city. The best example is Laxmi Narayan Shopping Complex at college Road, Dhamankar Naka where branch of Andhra Bank exist. Despite of the newspaper report and my own complaint, it stands for 3 years.
The road is already small and has lot of illegal parking. Right from Anjurphata to Dhamankar Naka, Kalyan Naka, Mandai and every where. Even the police and RTO is not paying any attention.
The city is full of illegal posters of the local goon politician from all parties.

I have first filed complained to then municipal commissioner Achyut Hange who is one of the most corrupt administrative officer even ACB has filed charges against him. Despite of this, he got promotion and got transferred to Ulhas Nagar Municipal Corporation. I sent the complaint twice but I never got reply. I even filed RTI application about overall expenditure and budget but they never replied to me.

After that I sent an email and subsequent reminder to honourable Chief Minister, Maharashtra State on December 11, 2012 and also on 14th May 2013 and till now there is no response and no action also.

Also, please direct CM's office, MMRDA's Office, collector's office and Thane Police Commissioner to provide response why the action has not been taken. Also please check irregularities in appointment of Municipal Commissioner Achyut Hange, he is supposed to get transfer to Ulhas Nagar Municipal Corporation which is more corrupt than this, please stop it and suspend him till inquery finishes. There is a big scam in his appointment for favourable position. I request you to please take serious action and suspend the municipal corporation. My request is:

Please suspend the municipal corporation immediately and appoint an honest officer as administrator and conduct inquery.
Please repair the roads and make it worth to travel
Please have a proper garbage disposal system
Please take action against illegal construction and demolish it immediately
Please remove encoroachment and make the city road bigger and safer.

We deserve a life with dignity and for several years, the life in this city is like hell. Kindly help us to make this satellite town to call worth as a city.
