Atleast I believe that Cricket is much hyped and a highly commercialised business and it is no more a sports or a game. We have many more sports in India which are much better than Cricket but not in the limelight and getting pathetic treatment.
Today, I was watching a Prokabaddi on star plus (and I am fascinated about it). I recalled my childhood, my school days when we used to play Kabaddi. That was the different thrill.
When ProKabaddi started, I saw it started with our national anthem. My first expression was Lovely, superb!. Yes, like IPL, Prokabaddi also has ownership of industrialist like Anand Mahindra, Abhishek Bachchan and Akshay Kumar still it is better. More than glamour, it is about sports and at least somebody promoting it.
I believe the IPL has completely destroyed Cricket. It is just a money spinning entertainment for BCCI, Politicians and Cricketers. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was shameless to tell that they will get more time to rest. I stopped watching cricket long back, during my school days only the moment its fixing news broke up.
IPL is more about shortcut, enjoyment thats it. It has nothing to do with the cricket.

No doubt, we have given too much importance to cricket and it has become like an addictive substance. We must stop watching cricket and first of all, BCCI should be brought under Right to Information Act and let only Cricketers through major public vote should hold all positions in BCCI. No doubt BCCI is a major corrupt body from Sharad Pawar to Dalmia to Shreenivas, everybody has damaged it. Nobody play seriously, all play for money only. I am not a sport personality so I do not want to comment why they got defeat and what should they do. I can just express as a common man what we expect.
