Hi Friends,
This is 9th posting in the series. Anybody may not like to pursue distance education from Uttar Pradesh being a backward state in education. However, it has few best universities like BHU, AMU, Allahabad University and IIT Kanpur. However BHU and Allahabad University do not offer distance learning or external programmes. Now lot of private and deemed universities are luring students and they need to beware from this. Also, instead of contacting any agent, they should directly contact concerned state universities for clarification and authenticity of the degree they are getting.

Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University is a public university in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is named after Purushottam Das Tandon.

The university plans to provide access to higher education for large segments of population and, in particular, disadvantaged groups such as those living in remote and rural areas including working people, homemakers and other adults who wish to upgrade or acquire knowledge through studies. It will also make efforts to promote acquisition of knowledge in a rapidly developing and changing society and continually offer opportunity for upgrading knowledge, training and skills in the context or innovations, research and discovery in all fields of human endeavor. I am getting request about Meerut and other universities, please note that no other institutes offer distance learning programme in UP. Few may offer external degree programme but those people who are not from UP should not opt any programme except of Aligarh Muslim University and IICT, rest all degree can be fake and may ruin your career.
