Yesterday, I wrote an article about Shobhit University and how it is selling degree and today, I was scanning through web and found various article, websites including those from Hindustan Times and Times of India.
As you must be aware, the matter of Shobhit's recognition is still pending in the supreme court alongwith 44 other deemed university, few of them really working a lot to improve and come out of such tag one example is Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune however few universities are selling degree more vigorously snd surprisingly in 2 months.
The university is- the all time degree scamster Shobhit University. Surprisingly, the matter is pending in the court on Shobhit's deemed university status, UP legislature granted status to its private university.

Shobhit University is polluting the whole education system. When there was controversy was surrounded against Shobhit University, how erstwhile DEC and current DEB grant it approval to run distance education courses till 2013.
The violation is as follows:
1. Shobhit University has opened centre in every city through private agents and they are offering any degree BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.E., B.Tech, MBA and so on. In the investigation by Times of India, a centre of Shobhit allow you to complete degree in 2 months and more surprisingly, the student's name will be reflected on Shobhit's website.Please refer following article
If ministry of HRD, UGC and DEB really want to clean up the mess in our higher education system, instead of sending notice, they should collect the evidence from Times of India, submit to supreme court and make sure such universities out of the higher education list. They must also check all such students and book them for forgery, cheating and bring shame to them by making their list public by publishing on website, on news paper. A public shame will definitely have deterrent effect for all.

4. It does not have AICTE approval still offering programmes.
The similar is case of Periyar University, Tamil Nadu, madurai Kamraj University and Mahatma Gandhi University
Please note that although Shobhit is selling degrees through their agents, they are denying it.

I suggest everybody not to opt shortcut, these universities will sell you degree and later denied that you are their student.

ReplyDeleteA heartiest welcome for your valiant information in respect of those students who were robbed (in one way or other) by the anonymous, fake, unaccredited and derecognised institution / universities providing distance degrees which are void.
I suppose to be a victim too (God Forbid). I did BCA from SMU DE study centre Guwahati (2007-2010).According to Honourable Supreme Court and High court judgements I assume that I am a “valid buyer” of this degree.
Just wanted to know that after these judgements am I eligible for Public sector jobs, I am preparing for State PSC.I filed an RTI against UGC they replied that

MAJOR CONCERN
Moreover, If State PSC or any other Govt agencies rejects my degree regardless of Hon. Supreme Court and High Court judgements what provisions are left for me. This is a major concern for me.
